I’m going to show you what I think each character from The Summer I Turned Pretty (TSITP) would do if they got their nails done at the salon! The Summer I Turned Pretty nails are going to be a hot thing this summer!!
If you don’t know what TSITP is, it’s a show on Amazon Prime that shows life in Cousin’s Beach through the eyes of a teenage girl falling in love. It’s heartfelt, sad, funny, realistic, and overall amazing!
Each character is so vastly different from each other, and although some of the boys in this show probably wouldn’t get hot pink coffin acrylic nails, this is what I’d imagine their personalities would pick out.

ISABLLEA (AKA BELLY)
3 words I’d use to describe Belly’s style are minimalistic, cutesy, young.
3 places I feel like she would shop at are PacSun, American Eagle, and Brandy Melville.
She’s a go-getter but still learning the ropes about how to navigate liking boys. She’s unsure about a lot except for her undeniable attraction to Conrad. Because of this, I feel like her nail style would be basic but with a fun and unique twist.
Belly would totally go for a simple gel manicure with some sort of flower design! She likes to wear simple crop tops and t-shirts but she’s still super girly! I don’t think acrylics would fit her style so a neutral base with a colorful flower is totally her vibe!

Conrad (AKA Connie Baby)
3 words I’d use to describe Conrad’s style are rustic, casual, frat-guy (lol).
3 places I feel like he would shop at are H&M, American Eagle, and Eddie Bauer.
His color palette is narrow and chooses to stay within the darker and more grungy styles. He only dresses up when he has to or is really really happy (so not often). This leads me to believe he would wear a brown nail all year round.
Conrad’s simple and laid-back style makes me believe he’d choose a simple nail to complete his look.
A rounded french tip or all over color would be his go-to at the nail salon. His vibe is always giving mountain man and wouldn’t want anything too flashy that would clash with his outfit.

JEREMIAH (AKA JERE BEAR)
3 words I’d use to describe Jeremiah’s style are beachy, tailored, classy.
3 places I feel like he would shop at are Zara, Express and Urban Outfitters.
He loves to dress according to the occasion and his style fluctuates (especially in season 2) depending on what adventure they’e going on. Sometimes he’s more laid back and dresses in a linen shirt and other times he has a tailored, thick-material shirt on with loafers.
His style is something I would totally copy if I was a dude and lived at the beach! Everything he wears is perfectionnnn! 🤌🏻
I’m giving his style a bit more classiness than the others so far because he’s the only character that I feel really cares about his overall appearance on a day-to-day basis. His nails need to be classy but quirky, just like him!
He’d care so much about the little details in his nails but wouldn’t want to be too showy. I also feel like he’d keep minimal colors but occasionally throw a pop of color in there when he’s feeling it!

Taylor
3 words I’d use to describe Taylor’s style are quirky, eccentric, fun.
3 places I feel like she would shop at are Revolve, Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters.
Taylor loves to wear the cutest outfits and it’s almost like she sees them on a model or on a mannequin and then buys the whole set!
She’s super colorful and isn’t shy at all! This includes her personality and style! 😉 She loves expressing herself through her looks and I feel like she would wear the cutest nail sets to also allow her to express herself.
She’d always show up to school with a fresh set of nails and never let them look too outgrown. Her colors would always look so vibrant and she’d always think of new designs to try every week.
I can see her incorporating all sorts of styles into her nails, like she does for her outfits. She’d use 3D art like rhinestones, stickers, and sculpt gel, as well as use fun colors to accentuate those features.
STEVEN
3 words I’d use to describe Steven’s style are simple, efficient, preppy.
3 places I feel like he would shop at are ASOS, Madewell and Express.
Steven is going to Princeton for college and he views himself in a higher light compared to his peers. He’s a little cocky but super genuine. He wears a lot of striped button ups and likes to flaunt his Princeton shirts/hoodies when he can!
He’s the type of guy who is too worried about how is reputation might negatively affect him, so he chooses to remind people of his successes. Because of this, I feel like he’d keep his nails super crisp and clean. He’d only use skin-like colors and they’d stay very pretty and pristine.
